Rosine Atomizers

In 1912-1913, atomizers (called vaporisateurs) with Rosine fragrances were launched along with their matching saucers on which they rested.

The bottles and the saucers were made up of extremely thin and fragile blown glass and the bottles were in the shape of hookah bases. Both the bottle and saucer were hand painted at the Martine workshop. The atomizers were meant to not only be used to perfume the person, but also to scent the home, in particular, the boudoir.

These atomizers were available for all the Rosine scents, but the first was for the perfume Antinea, ou au fond de la Mer.

"All Rosine perfumes are sold in vaporizers of various decorations."

Poiret commissioned his friend Rogert Boutete de Monvel to create a poem for the atomizers. Boutet de Monvel wrote the poem "Vaporisateur":

"Like the light haze of the morning, a fragrant vapor refreshes the half-closed eyes; the balmy cloud, the life-giving rain shower evoke the purple gardens, the bluish lawns, the gray countryside covered with apple tree flowers and clusters of roses, where tower the dark and odoriferous cypress trees, where lay the orange paths, where ride, on their white mules, the masked noblewomen, their fingers laden with rings, and wearing green silk stockings."

The prices varied for each fragrance:
